The very essence of Trans-Al Network Inc. lies in the holding of regional meetings in each section of the Trans-Al Network Inc. These informal meetings give members a forum by which they can exchange on technical issues related to aluminium transformation. The meetings are regularly followed by industrial tours to a member organisation to help foster better knowledge of the aluminium industry. In addition, provincial meetings and meetings for equipment suppliers are also organised.

Many services are offered to Trans-Al Network members, in an effort to improve communications within each group and between regional sections. Our Web site yields access to technical information through a discussion Forum linking members and various experts in aluminium transformation. The Web site also includes a list of members with hyperlinks, a detailed Members Directory, the Canadian Aluminium Industry Technological Roadmap (TRM) 2000 Edition, the Canadian Aluminium Transformation Technology Roadmap (TRM) 2006 Edition, and several useful links.

The online services and the distribution of the Members Directory give members better visibility. This helps to showcase the Trans-Al Network and makes the process of searching for and recruiting candidates easier.

In order to give the possibility to his SME's members to develop new products and explore new aluminium transformation technologies, the Trans-Al Network Inc., with the collaboration of the NRC-Aluminium Technology Centre (ATC) and the Minister of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade, created the Technologies Access Program.

The networking and exchange opportunities offered by the Trans-Al Network Inc. give participants the possibility to pool together various services related to organisational operations. Also, the structure of the Trans-Al Network makes it possible to organise special events pertaining to the development of the aluminium transformation sector, such as dinner-conferences, symposiums, and more.
